The Centre for Faith and Community Development (CFCD), formerly New Era Educational and Charitable Support Initiative (NEEDCSI), is a nonprofit organization with Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), that works to strengthen communities by building relationships between faith-based organizations and local communities. The mission of the CFCD is to strengthen the capacity of faith-based organizations to build healthy communities by providing leadership development, training and resources. We strive to create sustainable change by fostering relationships and collaboration between organizations. CFCD's programs are designed to help faith-based organizations become more effective in their work. 

Faith-based Community Development

The Faith-Based Community Development Initiative provides technical assistance, training, and resources to help faith-based organizations become more effective in their community development work. The initiative offers a variety of services, including: providing technical assistance to faith-based organizations on a variety of topics, including planning, Conferences, program development, and evaluation.
 

Education and Leadership Development

Through its Education and Leadership Development Program, the CFCD invests in education and leadership development initiatives to equip individuals and communities with the knowledge, skills, and ethical frameworks necessary to address social justice issues. This program may include training programs, workshops, and seminars on topics such as community organizing, conflict resolution, human rights, and the intersection of faith and social justice.

Interfaith Dialogue and Collaboration

The CFCD facilitates interfaith dialogue and collaboration as a means to foster understanding, respect, and cooperation among individuals and communities from diverse religious backgrounds. The program includes organizing periodic interfaith conferences, forums, and workshops aimed at promoting dialogue, addressing common challenges, and building relationships across faith traditions.
