our core competencies
Centre for Faith and Community Development’s core competency areas are the following:
Faith-based Engagement: We have extensive experience in engaging religious and faith-based communities in social development initiatives. Our organization recognizes the valuable role that faith institutions play in promoting positive change within communities. By leveraging our expertise in this area, we can facilitate partnerships between faith-based organizations and other stakeholders to address societal challenges collectively.
Advocacy and Policy Influence: Our organization has a strong background in advocacy and influencing policy at multiple levels. We possess the skills and knowledge to analyze policy contexts, identify gaps or injustices, and effectively advocate for necessary changes. By developing evidence-based recommendations, building coalitions, and engaging with decision-makers, we can contribute to systemic changes that promote social justice, equality, and sustainable development.
Community Capacity Building: We believe in empowering communities to become agents of change themselves. Through our community capacity-building programs, we offer training, workshops, and resources that enhance individuals' and community groups' skills and knowledge. By equipping community members with the tools, they need to address their own challenges, we foster self-reliance and sustainable development.
Research and Data Analysis: Our organization emphasizes evidence-based approaches to inform decision-making and program implementation. We have a dedicated research team skilled in conducting rigorous research, data analysis, and evaluation. By generating sound evidence, we provide valuable insights into the impact of social issues and interventions, helping stakeholders make informed decisions and drive systemic changes.
Collaborative Partnerships: We recognize the importance of collaboration and partnership in achieving systemic change. Our organization actively builds and nurtures partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, faith-based organizations, academic institutions, and communities.
